MIDDLETOWN, NY (October 26, 2021) – Nexus Health is pleased to announce that Mason General Hospital has chosen Nexus to provide their discharge phone calls for all patients going home from their Emergency Department. By contracting with Nexus Health to provide post discharge telephonic follow-up calls, Mason General helps ensure that each patient has what they need when they are home.

Mason General Emergency Department has board-certified health care providers on 24/7 to provide their community in Mason County the best possible care. For health care problems that are not life-threatening, Mason General Health Walk-In Clinic provides excellent care.

The Nexus Health Call Center makes live calls to patients after discharge to ensure the best possible outcomes. Customizable call agendas are configured with built-in escalation paths that provide real-time updates on changes in patient condition so that key members of Mason General staff are alerted when further intervention is necessary. Calls are made on weekends and evenings to ensure patient needs are addressed in a timely manner.

“Organizations like Mason General are committed to proving the best care to their patients and understand the importance of ensuring each patient gets the care they need after discharge,” said Ryan Sparks, Chief Revenue Officer at Nexus Health Resources. “We are pleased for the opportunity to work with them and look forward to assisting Mason General patients.”
